Early Childhood

Learners ages 3 to 6 belong to our Junior Exploration and Exploration Classes.

By emphasizing children's natural curiosity and creativity, we encourage them to explore their world through hands-on experiences and collaboration. Our goal is to foster a love of learning and a sense of joy in coming to school each day.

Our approach is child-centered, emphasizing that children are active learners capable of constructing their own knowledge. We encourage inquiry-based learning, where students engage in problem-solving and explore concepts through high-level questioning and real-world application.

At TCS, we draw inspiration from the educational principles of play-based learning, Reggio Emilia, Francis Parker, and John Dewey to create a nurturing and engaging environment for all learners. Our approach focuses on Self-Determination Theory, Self-Efficacy Theory, and Attribution Theory to support children's development.

Our holistic and child-centered approach to early childhood education promotes children's development and joy of learning.

Strong relationships between teachers and children are built on mutual respect and trust.

The physical environment of our classrooms is designed to be open-ended and inviting, encouraging exploration and creativity.

Character development is a key component of our approach.

By encouraging creativity, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, promoting social and emotional development, supporting language development, and building a strong foundation for future learning, we believe our approach provides a valuable educational experience for our students.

We foster collaboration among children, who work in small groups to solve problems and create projects.

Our Early Childhood Philosophy

Character development fosters positive traits such as honesty, kindness, and responsibility. We emphasize social-emotional learning, helping children develop skills like compassion, self-awareness, and problem-solving.
